OUR USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING MECHANISMS
When you interact with our Site, we strive to make your experience easy and meaningful. We do this by using cookies, clear GIFs, and/or similar technologies to track user activity and collect Site data.
Cookies. We (or our third-party service providers) use cookies to track visitor activity on our Site. A cookie is a text file that a website transfers to your computer’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes.
Clear GIFs. Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We and our third-party service providers may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. web beacons, web bugs or pixel tags) in connection with our Site to, among other things, track the activities of visitors, help us manage content and compile information about usage. We and our third-party service providers also use clear GIFs in HTML emails to our customers, to help us track email response rates, to identify when our emails are viewed, and to track whether our emails are forwarded.
Your Choices. You may configure your browser to set preferences regarding cookies such that you can have your computer warn you each time a cookie is sent. Your Internet browser may permit you to opt-out of cookies, and you may delete cookies from your hard drive at any time. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable cookies altogether. Visitors to our Site who disable cookies will be able to browse certain areas of the Site, but some of our services may not function and certain pages may not display properly. While your browser may also allow you to send a “do not track” signal when you visit our Site, we do not modify our practices in response to this signal. We will continue to comply with this Policy whether or not your browser sends a “do not track” signal.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our Site may contain links to sites and resources that are maintained by third parties, such as the website of our transfer agent, American Stock Transfer and Trust Company, LLC (“AST”) or social media pages. If you choose to visit these third party sites, your use of those sites and resources will be subject to the third party’s terms of use and privacy policy, and we encourage you to review those terms and policies before using the third party website.
ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION
To access and correct personal information that you have provided to us, please contact us at info@columbiareit.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Columbia recognizes the privacy interests of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. This Site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
SECURITY
We use procedural and technological measures, consistent with industry practice, that are designed to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Despite our efforts, however, no safeguards can guarantee that personal information transmitted via the Internet or stored in our systems or otherwise under our care will be absolutely safe from unauthorized use or intrusion from third parties, due to the inherent nature of the Internet.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post a notice of any changes on this Site. If we make retroactive material changes to how we treat personal information, we will notify you and seek affirmative consent. Columbia encourages you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of this Site after such an update will be subject to the then-current Privacy Policy.
