As General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Columbia Property Trust, Suzanne deVries Decker is responsible for the execution of the vision of the organization, including risk management, legal compliance and strategy and implementation of corporate organizational strategies. She sits on the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee, collaborating with executive leadership to establish and direct the strategic plan and execution for Columbia.
Ms. Decker came to Columbia in 2023 from Fried Frank, where she was a Partner in the Real Estate group. She represented a diverse group of clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions, ground up construction and joint ventures. Ms. Decker also has significant experience representing both borrowers and lenders in mortgage and mezzanine loan workouts.
Ms. Decker is licensed to practice law in New York. She received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. Ms. Decker is a member of the leadership team of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Real Estate Network.
She resides in Croton-on-Hudson in Westchester County with her husband and two sons.
